Am 1. und 2. Dezember 2023 fand in Bangalore die 39th Annual International Value Engineering Konferenz der indischen Wertanalyse-Organisation INVEST www.invest-in.org statt. Das Motto der Konferenz lautete „Sustainability through Value Engineering“ und so hatten fast alle der annähernd 75 Präsentationen (Technical Papers und Keynote-Vorträge) einen Bezug hierzu.
Unser Geschäftsführer Dr. Marc Pauwels nahm auf Einladung von INVEST als Director Global Affairs von SAVE International© www.value-eng.org an der Konferenz teil. Er wurde in die Begrüßungszeremonie („Lighting of lamp“) eingebunden und durfte auch Auszeichnungen überreichen. Zudem hielt er einen Keynote-Vortrag mit dem Titel „Challenges of cost transparency: Why do so many companies struggle with their costs?”.
Die Konferenz konnte wieder rund 200 Teilnehmer aus den unterschiedlichsten Industriezweigen anziehen. So waren unter anderem Tata Motors und Tata Steel, Schneider Electric, John Deere, Allegion und SLB mit Teilnehmern und Vorträgen vertreten.
Wie jedes Jahr wurden die nach unterschiedlichen Kriterien bewerteten, besten Vorträge ausgezeichnet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass sich unter den Vortragenden auch eine hohe Anzahl an jungen (angehenden) Wertanalytikern befindet.
Die Tagung kann als voller Erfolg betrachtet werden, sowohl für INVEST als Organisator, die Teilnehmer, als auch für die gesamte Wertanalyse-Community: Wertanalyse wird erfolgreich eingesetzt, namhafte Global Player nutzen sie, und die Anwendungsfelder wachsen stetig weiter.
On 1st and 2nd December, the 39th Annual International Value Engineering Conference of the Indian Value Engineering organization INVEST www.invest-in.org took place in Bangalore. The motto of the conference was „Sustainability through Value Engineering“ and almost all of the nearly 75 presentations (technical papers and keynote speeches) were related to this.
Our Managing Director Dr. Marc Pauwels attended the conference at the invitation of INVEST as Director Global Affairs of SAVE International© www.value-eng.org . He was involved in the welcoming ceremony („Lighting of lamp“) and was also allowed to present awards. In addition, he gave a keynote speech entitled „Challenges of cost transparency: Why do so many companies struggle with their costs?“.
The conference was once again able to attract around 200 participants from a wide range of industries. Among others, Tata Motors and Tata Steel, Schneider Electric, John Deere, Allegion and SLB were represented with participants and presentations.
As every year, the best presentations, which were evaluated according to different criteria, were awarded. It is particularly noteworthy that there is also a high number of young (prospective) Value Engineers among the speakers.
The conference can be considered a complete success, both for INVEST as the organizer, the participants and for the entire value analysis community: value analysis is used successfully, well-known global players use it, and the fields of application continue to grow.
